mischievious little imp

I just love this little girl. She is such a firecracker and has tons of personality! Some fun things about Charlotte Nora at age 2:

She has ditched her high chair and insists on sitting on a normal chair-she loves feeling like a "dig goil".

She also likes to sit on the potty like her big sis. Refuses to take her diaper off though. lol!

She loves yogurt, Life cereal (asks for it by name), cheese, bread, cupcakes, milk, scrambled eggs (dambled eggs), deezy fute (squeezy fruit aka applesauce), and any other kind of fruit. (mangoes, kiwi, bananas, apples, peaches...are some faves)

She knows the names of the My Little Pony characters (she is quizzed by her sister often enough), but has yet to straighten out all her colors.

Her favorite number is two, and she can tell when she has two things in her hands...any other number and she's stumped.

She is always trying to keep up with her big sis!

She loves to color.

She loves climbing on things and is more fearless than Sadie was...so thanks for all the mini heart attacks, Miss C.

Her hair is much lighter than Sadie's, and is very curly at the ends! I love it!

She is still very attached to her dee dee's (binkys) We are not looking forward to cutting her off, but it has to happen soon!

She gets scared at loud noises and runs for mom or dad. It's kinda cute but I feel bad cause she gets terrified!

She loves trucks-every truck she sees is a "fire truck"!

She loves watching the garbage man pick up our garbage. She calls out to him (babbage man!) and then shouts Day Doo! (thank you!)

She loves bath time and her and Sadie always "wash" each others hair.

She loves to "help" me fold laundry. Sadie as well Hey, I'll take the help-even if I have to refold everything, I love their enthusiasm for helping me with chores. Wonder how long it will last....

She loves playing dress up and putting on her sparkly dresses.

She waves at random people, even if they're not looking at her. The other day I caught her waving at a tree. Maybe she was waving at a squirrel I couldn't see?

Suffice it to say, we love this little girl of ours. :D

in training for the Easter Egg hunt

The girls have had ample time to hone and perfect their egg grabbing skills in the past week. First up, an egg hunt at our friends house-which was a blast!

The kids had so much fun running around getting eggs...and then eating the entire contents.

Then they had yet another practice session at Grandma and Grandpa Christian's house!

This one was slightly more difficult because of terrain, but they still conquered quite a few eggs.

Then today Sadie was naughty and ate a ton of forbidden candy during naptime. I hid my smile-because what kid hasn't done that?  She even left the wrappers all over the floor. well, she's just an amateur after all. ;)

iphone pics

I love taking Instagram pics-those little square, slightly fuzzy pics with the cool quick edits are growing on me-fast. Plus my phone is always with me so I can catch those moments I usually don't get to.

Like all the little girls crowded around Penny-love how Sadie's hand is touching Penny's. aww. Yes Sadie's topless. lol

Charlotte loves her red balloon!

I have a picture of myself making this exact same face...let me dig it up...

hehe!

A trip to the Oakland temple with all the gals from the stake-so fun!

A trip to the park-they both left their sunglasses on the whole time. Now that's dedication.

A quick walk around the block enjoying some warm weather. These girls automatically grab each other's hands whenever they walk together. I love that.

Cutie pie.

Dipping her quesadilla bites in her yogurt. Weird kid. (Sadie does it too, and they do it with applesauce too!)

with mommy!

Charlotte got some stitches

So there are a few bloody pics in this post but they're not too bad. Just fair warning.

Sunday night after my Dad's birthday party, we headed home and got the girls ready for bed...and after we said our family prayer Charlotte went into the hall, and of course, Sadie went after her to give her a hug. It was a big too enthusiastic, and Charlotte got knocked into the corner of the wall, specifically on the molding on the bottom, and split her forehead open. Poor thing! It started bleeding a lot of course, since it was a head wound, so I got a towel and started putting pressure on it. Rory was trying to calm down Sadie who was freaking out, while I tried to calm Charlotte down who of course was bawling as well. Crisis!

Anyways, finally got the bleeding to stop and called my mom to come stay with Sadie so we could go to the ER. (well, the Minor Injury clinic but same difference) Luckily the wait there wasn't bad, and by then Charlotte was her cheerful self again. Kids are so resilient!

They said yep she needs stitches, so we rolled her up in a sheet, held her down, and they started numbing her forehead...then I had to switch places with Rory...I just could not watch! Ugh, stitching skin gives me the heebie jeebies. Thank goodness they were quick. We were in, out, and back home in about an hour and a half. Charlotte has been doing great since then and loves her Hello Kitty and Princess band aids she's been sporting!

What a trooper!
