I am way too easily amused...

Me.

Sadie.

I didn't ever show her how to do this face...so it must be genetic!

Update: 9/2012

Charlotte

drinking from a cup and a sick litle girl

Charlotte has conquered the cup without a lid! And by conquered, I mean only spills half of it on her shirt.

She hates it when she can hear the plane but not see it. So tragically confusing for a 2 year old!

Playing in their "house". The houses they build are generally the size of hamster houses, but they seem to enjoy squeezing in together.

MOM! BUTTON!

Sadie has conquered the big girl swing! and by conquered, I mean can sit on it and swing and not fall off. Then she gets someone to push her when she slows down.

John and Courtenay and Everett were in town this past weekend and we had a lot of fun spending some time with them-we even got crafty! Courtenay used my quilt cutter for some felt for hair clips, since she's having a girl she's been going a little nuts making them, she said. I can understand that! :D Notice our little photo bomber?

Have you tried these? Holy cow I'm gonna have to stock up cause they are YUMMY!

Sadie was pretty proud of her castle and took a pic on my phone. Notice the courtyard...fancy.

Poor Miss C has hand foot and mouth disease. :( So she's been snuggly and worn out in between being whiny and in pain. I hope she gets better soon! I already have cabin fever!

So we escaped for a walk on a shady street for about a half hour this morning. I think I'll go longer next time!

beach trip!

We took the girls to the beach, along with Rory's family,  for the first time. Yes we are sad failures at being California parents. haha. Sadie had been once before when she was 8 months old, and I'm sure she totally remembers that trip. They both were wary of the water, and took awhile for Charlotte to warm up to the sand, but they got comfortable and had a blast building sand castles and digging! Sadie had been asking to go for awhile and the main thing she wanted to do was collect sea shells, so we got a ton to decorate her sand castles!

Charlotte got some cute sea air curl action going with her piggies. love! We grabbed some strawberries and artichokes on the way home, which were delish! I made Rory promise that we'd go again before the summer was over....we'll see!

pics of my kids...cause I can.

The girls love the new carts they have at our Walmart-and I love that both of them are strapped in tight. They like to lean forward and help me "push" the cart. I like to try not to knock things off the shelf when I turn a corner.

Sadie enjoyed a clean playroom the other day, meaning the tunnel could come out. It lasted all of 1/2 a day before it was messy again. Why do I bother?

Charlotte likes to have a spare on hand at all times.

This is what happens if she  doesn't. Just kidding. This was because of something else that was no doubt, very traumatic. Which she got over in about 2.3 seconds. The life of a toddler, man. It's hard.

Happy Father's Day to Rory!

Making  a birthday day card for him...which is the day after Father's Day....which was also Charlotte's birthday. Lots of celebratin' going on in the Christian home last weekend!

I made him his usual chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and bought him cookies and cream and cookie dough ice cream. I know my man well. ;)

We also found out that baby #3 is another girl! I asked the ultrasound tech if she was sure and she laughed at me. Can't blame a girl for asking....we're really excited though and Sadie can't wait for another sister to torment love.

After our ultrasound Rory took me to lunch out and...pink berry!! YUMMMM

Sadie procrastinating bedtime...lol. Creative, at least.

The girls and I went with some friends to see Happy Feet 2 for the $1 kids movie they do in the summer locally. Lame movie but the kids loved it!

Charlotte got her first haircut-well trim really...it was getting mullet-like. It's long when it's wet and combed out, but once it dries...BOING! her cute curls come to life. Love it!

What a cheeser! Love her smile and cheekies!

The girls had fun trying on some masks at my Grandma's house-Sadie is really cute as a hedgehog!

oh yes. Phone pics galore.

Charlotte has been getting up early and crying from her naps-so when she started sleeping longer and waking up happy I was relieved to say the least. To say the most I was jumping up and down with joy.

I surprised my best pal Cassy with a baby shower-she's expecting her third baby, second girl, in a few weeks-we got her good. ;)

Rory's still working on sanding down our new dining table. New as in we got it in November of 2010. Child labor, yes please. ;)

Charlotte woke up with some impressive bedhead. Cassy said she thought it was a dog when I showed her the picture. See? Impressive.

The girls love* sharing their coloring book.

*until one of them colors on the other's page. ie: Charlotte does and Sadie freaks out.

Whenever a batch of laundry comes out of the dryer, you'd better believe Sadie jumps on the bed and informs me that I'd better dump it on her. In her words: "I like the hot, Mom!"

We should invest in some chickens-Charlotte can eat 4 eggs in one sitting. Except chickens are messy and I can only deal with cooking so early in the morning about once a week. We're good.

Princess Charlotte spent the morning as Rapunzel and I kept freaking out that she's big enough to fit into Sadie's dress ups. Granted, she was tripping over the bottom, but as she tumbled head over heels, I kept thinking, "gosh she's even cute when she falls down!"

Sadie colored this gorgeous rainbow and then told me the clouds were broken. i still think it's the cutest rainbow in existence.

Charlotte created this fantabulous Mr. Potato head the other day-and he is one special guy. Like needing 3 pairs of glasses-that's pretty special.

We had a box dinner exchange for Relief Society and I made up a lunch of a sandwich, pasta salad, apple and caramel dip, lays, and soda. I then brainwashed everyone into thinking it would be YUM! with my stickers.

I finally organized the girls baby clothes and put them into plastic containers. The girls had fun playing with the 20 diaper boxes they used to be in. Walls were built, roofs came tumbling down, and Charlotte was scolded many a time for sitting on a box she shouldn't. Good times.

We have high hopes for Sadie's art career...for reals-she can color within the lines better than I can.

Froyo! Our fav! Sprinkle face!

Fishy face is my favorite face on Miss C. I promise I'm not squishing her face as hard as it might look.

Sadie had a blast at her friends birthday party-it was at one of those inflatable party places, and the obstacle course was especially fun. I know because I went through it to "rescue" Sadie, just in time to see her go down the slide with Dave, Kim's husband. Thanks, kid. At least she went down the slide!

They loved the "slippery slope" inflatable-pretty much kept sliding down whenever they tried to run up it. HIL-ar-IOUS.

Rory has taken his self appointed title of Bubble Master seriously. He's in training for the next Olympics and is expecting a call any day from the USA team.
