Happy Halloween! and Trunk or Treating

This year for Halloween we were characters from Star Wars! So fun, since Rory and I both love the movies, and Sadie even knows some of the characters. ;)

Sadie was Princess Leia of course, complete with sock buns!

Charlotte was the cutest Ewok (costume was loaned to us by a friend)

Rory was a Jedi-Anakin Skywalker, before he turned to the dark side.

I was Han Solo...my favorite scruffy looking nerf herder.

Our ward held a chili cook off and trunk or treat, and it was really fun! Sadie and Rayne had so much fun trolling for candy, hand in hand.

Luckily I had a couple of bags in the car for candy, I had totally forgotten to get trick or treat bags!

Cute gals.

Sadie had one lollipop, which took her awhile to eat, lol. Like seriously, an hour.

The Jedi and the nerd. What a pair those guys are. hehe!

Darth Sadie

Darth Sadie visited us the other day. She was terrifying.

She wore wings and did a version of the chicken dance.

Gotcha! It was regular Sadie all along. Had you fooled, huh? har har.

camping

Last night my parents went camping and took Sadie with them. We tried to persuade them to take Charlotte, but to no avail. ;) Sadie did really good according to them, and we came up in the morning for a good ol camping breakfast. Charlotte loved exploring the woods, and they both loved these little chairs!

Apparently, they both need new pants.

swagger wagon

We are the proud owners of a 2012 Toyota Sienna-aka the "Swagger Wagon". See this video if you don't know what I'm talking about. Hil-arious!

It's pretty much awesome sauce...the doors are auto open and shut at the click of (3) different buttons...back up cam...blah blah blah. I resisted mini vans but have now gone over to the dark side. And man, is the dark side sweet to drive.

Disneyland-a post with way too many pics.

The title says it all! This will be a picture heavy post, but aren't those the best anyways? That's my inclination, anyways.

We drove down to Disneyland Wednesday night (got there around 9) and then headed into the park the next morning. With the girls sporting some cute Disney shirts!

Sadie loved the teacups.

Charlotte wasn't sure at first.

...but she came around!

whee!!

Charlotte ran away from us almost any chance she could. :{ (she looks like a little boy in this outfit-I should have kept her bow on, lol!)

cute kids!

Drop and give me twenty, Charlotte!

Sadie also loved Dumbo.

She loved going up high!

She did not, however, care for almost any indoor, dark ride. So that eliminated about half of Fantasyland. :{

She liked the Jungle Cruise until the piranhas and monkeys...

...it helped when Rayne was around-they were the cutest little buddies!

She crashed in the stroller while we were waiting for the afternoon parade. We were worried she would miss it...

Luckily she popped up just in time for the....

...Princesses!

YAY!

Of course the chimney sweeps were a hit...

...cause we all know Sadie loves Mary Poppins!

The second day we headed off to visit Minnie and Toontown.

The girls were a bit hesitant.

But they adored her house!

ISn't Charlotte the cutest thing to wear mouse ears!? (since Sadie, of course)

Speaking of Sadie in mouse ears, she loved playing in Minnie's kitchen.

Dorky grin? check. Proof I was there? check.

Goofy's house proved another fun spot for the kiddos.

During their nap that day, Rory stayed with them while I hung out with my sister and her friends and we went on some "big kid" rides...that was fun! (he went out the night before, in all fairness)

Day 3 started with another whirl on the teacups!

and another ride on Dumbo.

The Casey Jr. train was fun for both kiddos.

  :)

cute shades..

Charlotte loved the carousel, Sadie freaked out though!

We met Sleeping Beauty on the way from trying to meet Rapunzel. (the line was INSANEly slow so we left to go grab lunch)

Sadie and Charlotte both were all smiles when they met Chip (and Dale later)...not so much with the giant bear thing that came around later...he was kinda creepy.

We had a blast and can't wait to go back next month. :D YEs we're crazy.
