movie night

Our friends the Watsons just bought their first house (yay!) so while the dads were working on the kitchen floor the other night, Cassy brought the kids over for some playtime which then turned into dinner time, then movie time. Oh, and did I mention their new place is right down the street from us? Cause it is, and that. is. awesome!

New Years Eve?

We had big New Years Eve plans....well our normal plans with the Watsons (we've been doing New Years with them for about 6 or 7 years)...which for us is BIG. They come over and put their kiddos down at our house, then we eat and play games all night.

Sadly, it was ruined this year by a stomach flu we (the Christian) all caught the week after Christmas. We prevailed and stuck it to the man by having New Years Eve 2 weeks late. It was still a blast, even though we only made it to 11. (lame I know, what can I say? we're all getting old and decrepit)



The boys had fun just "hanging out".

Charlotte stuck close to her favorite buddy, Cassy. It's so cute, she always likes to be held by Cassy and play with her!

...is quite the handful lately. 

She can be a bit of a bully with Sadie-only when she's pushed to her limits, but still. Why would you kick your sister in the shins for no good reason? She's a spitfire! (it's the red hair, I blame it on Rory)

She loves repeating words after us. puhple....car...dadie....dage.....baby....candy!.....cracker.....meemote... it's quite cute. 

She has enough hair to do legit pigtails now!

She absolutely LOVES any baby she comes across.

She also loves playing with any other mom besides me, lol. Especially Cassy.

She reaches out for her sister's hand anytime we're walking together.

She says "Pease" and "Day Doo". 

She loves pretending to feed us. ("BITE!")

She is becoming an even bigger ham for the camera than Sadie is, if you can believe that.

She loves edamame, meatballs, corn, bread, cheese, and crackers. Anything else green, chicken, noodles, or rice...not so much.

She is a bubbly and happy little girl who (almost) always has a smile ready! Love this chickadee. :D

Sadie was nice enough to fill in the blanks on some clothing sketches for me. That girls cracks me up!

Merry Christmas!

We had a pretty good Christmas this year-besides the cold and flu bug we all suffered during and after the festivities. I really could have done without that, but we managed to still have fun! The girls loved opening their stocking presents (though the picture suggests otherwise, lol)

Rory wrapped my presents particularly well this year-can you guess what this is?

Charlotte got her baby doll, she has been loving on it ever since!

Sadie got what she'd been asking for for weeks-a Tiana barbie! (plus all the Princes!)

Sadie had so much fun with all her new toys! (and ahem...Charlotte's as well)

Charlotte seemed to love these glasses the most...and her binky. We spent it with my family, and it was low key and relaxed. Love those kind!
